The following Prizes and Awards were awarded at a ceremony on Wednesday 12 June at our 2024 Annual Exhibition. Congratulations to all the winners!

The Ken & Dora Howard Prize

£1,000 for a painting that best captures a sense of light

The Doreen McIntosh Prize

For an artist whose work fulfils the New English Art Club’s ideals of rigour, immediate engagement with the visual and a searching attitude. Value £3,000.

The winning work will be published as a greetings card in the Dry Red Press 'Prize Winners' range, with royalties from the sale of the cards going to the artist

Mall Galleries / FBA Award

Ten free submissions to exhibitions by the Federation of British Artists at Mall Galleries (worth up to £200) for a first time exhibitor with the New English Art Club.

And last, but by no means least, we are delighted to announce the recipients of the NEAC Artist Scholarships for 2024-25 (Sponsored by Sir David and Lady Clementi).

 

THE £5,000 NEAC SCHOLARSHIP PRIZE GOES TO CHARLOTTE HOULIHAN.

and

THE 2 X £250 SCHOLARSHIP PRIZES GO TO THEO DUNFORD & RIZZA ZAHID.

 

Congratulations to all three new NEAC Scholars who, over the coming year, will benefit from mentorship from NEAC members and free entry to all classes and workshops run by the NEAC Education Programme.

 

Work created during their Scholarship years will be showcased in the NEAC Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries in 2025.
