Visit the home of Impressionism where Monet began his journey. A week of painting with ROI and NEAC member Julia Hawkins in Etretat and surroundings with the world-famous cliffs, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The trip includes painting indoors, in Etretat and trips to some of the local villages visited by the Impressionists. Visit to Monet’s gardens in Giverny is also planned. Teaching takes place in groups and individually. The course, which is now in its second year, is suitable for all levels and will improve your plein air practice. Partners also welcome at a small additional cost.

COST
£800 (Includes accommodation, tuition fee, supper on the arrival day and breakfast on the second). Cost assumes full occupancy, 11 students.
£100 security deposit is required by the owner, returnable if no damage incurred.
Full payment plus the deposit to be made by 21st July.
Food is not included in the price.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation has been arranged at Le Domaine des Platanes, Etretat with each student having his/her own room. Excellent kitchen facilities and communal dining area provided. The accommodation is in two 19th cent. modernised brick Georgian style buildings, each providing individual rooms for six and five students respectively. Bathrooms and WC’s are located in the corridor on each floor.
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Students will make their own way by car and ferry to the location, and should take out their own travel and accident insurance cover. Trips and excursions will be made in individual cars or on a car-sharing basis.
