Explore the best use of your sketchbooks in this practical workshop with NEAC member, Toby Ward.

The aim of the session is to briefly discuss all the purposes and uses of sketchbooks then spend some time working in our books before coming together at the end to talk about what we’ve done and how we might use the sketches in future. 

 

All levels of experience are welcome.

 

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR  

Toby Ward uses sketchbooks everyday in his work to make paintings and to record what he sees and what he thinks. He often produces sketchbooks to commission and these are in many public and private collections including The National Trust and The Royal Collection. He was elected to the NEAC in 2009 and shows his work with the Catto Gallery.

 

WHAT TO BRING

Bring warm clothing, sketchbooks and drawing/painting things and an inquiring mind.
