A Day Out with the Masters: 1-day workshop with Julia Hawkins: Department of Prints & Drawings, British Museum

19 April 2024

Welcome to a special place within the British Museum - the Department of Prints and Drawings, where you will be given a unique opportunity to copy and learn from the artists of the past.

No reproduction can capture the subtlety and beauty of a physical work of art. Those who wish to enrich their drawing practice must experience artworks first-hand to understand the vast amount of knowledge required to breathe life into a drawing.

Find a drawing that you love from the selection offered especially for you and create a master copy. This is an exclusive visit accompanied by NEAC and ROI member Julia Hawkins who will be on hand to assist students with helpful advice and guidance. Numbers are limited to just nine visitors, anyone wishing to join the group should sign up soon.

ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
